Jess has a new dress

The bitter cold makes me want to dance and wear yarny things! I wish I could take credit for making this glorious thing... but unfortunately it was my wallet that took the credit.

What do ya think?

Hello Kansas, how are you?

Oh boy oh boy! That's right I took an adventure to Kansas for Thanksgiving. Liberal, Kansas. It's a delight! And no I'm not lying. My friends family lives there and I always love going there to relax and enjoy a home away from home.
Ha. Every time I go my Dad asks me if we ran over Toto and if were gonna eat him for dinner. SO of course I run that bastard off the road and it was delicious.
(Check it for more amazingness on The Wizard of Oz)

Every time we go to Kansas we make a pit stop half way through the drive at this amazing slide! Yeah that's right! We all crank our music, burst out of the car and race to the slide! And we all go down once or twice and were on our way! WOOOOOOOT
( ok yes, this picture is from last summer.. but only cause it was dark this time and this one rules... frick!)

Whilst I was there, I was introduced to the biggest candle EVER! Hi candle, don't burn me.. I'm really not into playing with hot wax...

Also, possibly the best use of tea cups I have ever seen. I love this. So mucho.

I just also think this is appropriate. No this is not Toto... although I bet it would be equally as delicious. Amazing contraption, executed to create one scrumptious bird.

Thank you Kansas. I'm sure I will see you soon.

Twinkling Reindeer

Sometimes I think that if I had a small magical reindeer editing my brain all sorts of ideas would explode sparkles onto all of my projects. I have so many ideas and so little time!
But even so, I spent all weekend preparing for Fancy Tigers Holiday handmade! It's Dec 4th and 5th!! Yayyy!! A friend of mine and myself have a booth!
We're so excited, plus this finally gave me a reason to get my business card done. WOOT!
(and yes duh its adorable)
I love handmade items. There are going to be 60 crafters at Holiday Handmade and they are all such an inspiration.
I wish I could have a direct import plug in to teach me all things crafty, so I can export even more awesome! (Of course How I Met Your Mother awesome)

Check out Fancy Tiger for more on Holiday Handmade!

And I'm hooked.

Crafty bones are running through my body! Yarn + Hooks + Me = jump skip run and a leap into a giant pool of jello. Yes, of course people, I'm talking about my perfect afternoon.

Oh and a delicious cup of coffee.
